Early & Exploratory Phase Studies

Biospective has established a network of research centers across Québec to facilitate exploratory and early phase studies. We refer to this platform as CITE™ (Centers for Investigational, Translational, and Exploratory studies). These world-class centers have a variety of capabilities, including imaging, functional assessment, and clinical testing. Further, through our network of centers and collaborators, we are able to readily recruit participants for studies of Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, MS, ALS, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, pediatric neurological disorders, psychiatric disorders, and others.

Through CITE™, we can perform imaging studies on research-dedicated, 3T MRI systems (GE, Philips, and Siemens), as well as state-of-the art PET/CT and SPECT/CT scanners (with access to cyclotron/radiochemistry facilities).

Sleep is affected in multiple diseases. Through our CITE™ platform, we can perform high-quality sleep studies in modern facilities using the latest equipment. By combining sleep studies with other biomarkers (e.g. imaging, digital health), we can gain a more comprehensive assessment of the disease and its response to therapeutic intervention.

Functional Assessment

The PERFORM Centre at Concordia University, a CITE™ partner, has a wide range of functional assessment equipment available for research studies.  We can perform assessments of gait, balance, posture, range of motion, strength/muscle activation, and cardiovascular/respiratory performance.
